• Establishment of a US branch in Irvine, California

• Exhibitor at: Cosmoprof & IECSC Las Vegas 

• Conducting US FDA clinical trials, Plan to list on KOSDAQ and NASDAQ

 

2023

• April: Selected for a national research project to develop substances that inhibit the onset of ulcerative colitis and to identify their underlying mechanisms.

• May: Completed 21 patent registrations.

• June: Received ISO 22716 and Main-Biz certifications.

• August: Total Care Cream received U.S. FDA OTC Drug Registration approval.

• November: All cosmetic products received U.S. FDA OTC Drug Registration approval.

 

2022

• January: Filed a patent application for a new composition of sturgeon raw materials.

• February:

  • A non-clinical study at Sahmyook University identified the efficacy of sturgeon extract in promoting hair growth.

  • The company name was officially changed from Gynong Co., Ltd. to SturgeonBio Co., Ltd.

  • Signed a 42.2 billion KRW investment agreement with Stallzone Bio (an agricultural corporation), the Chungcheongbuk-do province, and Okcheon-gun county.

• March: Finalized the site contract and began construction of a large-scale plant in Okcheon-gun Techno Valley.

• June: Research by Chonbuk National University identified that sturgeon extract has an influenza virus infection-blocking effect.

• July: Obtained ISO 9001, ISO 14001, HACCP, Innobiz, and Venture Business certifications.

• August: Filed 32 new patent applications and have 5 additional patent registrations in progress.

• October: Conducted clinical trials for the commercialization of medical products designed to prevent coronavirus infection.

• November: Conducted a Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) study on the effects of oral intake of sturgeon extract preparations on the intestinal microbiome.

 

2021

• April:

  • A non-clinical study by the School of Pharmacy at Chungbuk National University verified that Siberian sturgeon extract has a suppressive effect on atopic dermatitis.

  • Established the head office and manufacturing facilities for food, beauty, and pharmaceuticals at Jikji Smart Tower in Cheongju.

  • Selected for a national research project to develop substances for preventing COVID-19 infection.

• November:

  • Signed an advisory agreement with Sunghyun Accounting Firm for listing the company on the KOSDAQ stock exchange.

  • A non-clinical study by the School of Pharmacy at Chungbuk National University verified the therapeutic effect of Siberian sturgeon extract on atopic dermatitis.

• December: Received the highest possible rating (Grade S) on the final report for the national research project on developing COVID-19 infection prevention substances.

 

2020

• December: Established the subsidiary company, Sturgeon Bio Pharmaceuticals.

 

2019

• May: Designated by the Chungcheongbuk-do province as a supported company for Medical Tourism.

• September: Registered Siberian sturgeon extract in the ICID (International Cosmetic Ingredient Dictionary and Handbook).

• December: Obtained a license to use the Bio-Mark, as approved by Chungbuk Province.

 

2018

• February: Obtained permits for cosmetics manufacturing and sales.

• March:

  • Developed water-soluble sturgeon oil as a raw material.

  • Launched a new product line of sturgeon-based food and beauty products.

 

2017

• September: Signed a technical cooperation agreement with the National Institute for Future Technology Management at Chungbuk National University.

• December: Registered as a food manufacturing and processing business.

 

2016

• April: Executed a Technology Transfer Agreement with Volgorechenskrybhoz.

• October: Signed a cooperation agreement with the Uiryeong Sturgeon Association Corporation.

2015

• June: Signed a partnership agreement for the production and export of caviar in Japan.

• August: Established Gynong Co., Ltd., an Agricultural Corporation.
